Utility, Trash and other Town Services

UPDATE: TRASH DAY MOVING TO TUESDAY (MAY 12TH FIRST PICK-UP DAY)

We will make this change on the following dates:
Friday May 8: Republic will perform their regular trash pick-up along with the SPRING CLEAN-UP items that are at the curb
Tuesday May 12 Republic will start Tuesday trash service

Also, we will continue as per the contract to pick-up all large items on the first Tuesday of each month meaning we will pick-up large items Tuesdays’

Trash and Recycling Information

  • Trash Pick-Up on Fridays through May 8th – Moving to Tuesdays with May 12th first pick up day
  • Large Item Pick-Up on the 1st Friday of each month:
    • No appliances with refrigerant
    • No tires

Options for paying water, sewer and trash bill:

  • Put in drop box in front of town hall at  104 Allen St.
  • Mail payment to address on bill
  • Set up automatic bill pay through your bank

Recycling Information
Recycling Dumpster located behind Library and Monroeville United Methodist Chruch
This service is offered by the Allen County Solid Waster Management District

  • Accepted Items
    • Glass
    • Steel Food Can/Aluminum
    • Plastics #1 & #2 (Remove all lids – Do not recycle unmarked containers)
    • Cardboard/Fiberboard (i.e. magazines, newspaper, copy paper, envelopes, cereal boxes, etc.)
    • Breakdown all cardboard
    • Plastic bags not accepted

Other recycling options:

  • Aluminum Cans accepted at the Chicken Coop (123 Meyer Dr. by railroad) for the Cornerstone Aluminum Can Fundraiser
  • Newspapers are accepted at St. Rose School, Heritage High School, or St. John Flatrock to benefit their programming

Item Donations for Various Rummage/Garage Sales

  • Item donations are accepted from March 1 – September 30th at Cornerstone Youth Center (19819 Monroeville Rd.) and used for monthly garage sales staring in April and ending in November.
    • All items should be in usable condition – not broken or cracked
    • No clothing at this time
    • Appliances must be in working order and clean
    • Items can be dropped off under canopy of barn – items are taken in daily
  • Watch community calendar for other church or organization sales to support their causes as well
